Reflection Free Coatings

Reflection Free Coatings reduce both internal and external reflections on lenses creating a nicer cosmetic appearance. Internal reflections appear as rings that make lenses look thick. External reflections mask your eyes from a clear, complete view when someone is looking at you. So with a Reflection Free coating, eyeglass lenses appear thin or non-existent, and your eyes look more natural.

A Reflection Free coating on your glasses can also be beneficial if you spend a great deal of time on a computer. Working on a computer for an extended period of time can lead to eye strain, as your eye muscles struggle to view specific areas of the monitor and battle the glare. Typical symptoms of eyestrain while working on the computer include blurry vision, dry eyes, and irritation. Reflection Free coating can reduce eyestrain and make it possible to work on the computer for longer periods of time without difficulty

A Reflection Free coating can also be beneficial when driving at night. Often, individuals who wear glasses or contacts experience a halo effect around headlights and streetlights when driving in the dark. An anti-reflective coating eliminates this effect and can make night driving less of a distraction.

Scratch Resistant Coatings

No eyeglass lens material is scratch-proof. However, a lens that is treated front and back with a clear, hard coating does become more resistant to scratching, whether it's from dropping your glasses on the floor or occasionally cleaning them with a paper towel.

Since a scratch-resistant coating can't completely protect your lenses from wear and tear, keep your glasses in a case, and clean them with a microfiber cloth and the cleaning solution

Polarized Lenses

Polarization is a contrast enhancement technique that can reduce back reflections and bring out features not readily visible with normal viewing.

Polarized Lenses eliminate glare. Any surface can create glare in sunlight, including water, sand, snow, buildings, windows and vehicles. They in fact can reduce the glare that comes off a long, flat surface such as the hood of a car on the highway. They are the top recommendation for hunters, boaters and fishermen, golfers, drivers, bikers and joggers, just to name a few. For these activities they offer a clearer view by eliminating the glare.

Polarization eases eye stress and fatigue from bright light and comes in several colors and density options. The brown or copper lenses increase the contrast between colors and are the preferred tint for driving. This contrast sharpens the imagery. This lens color is also very good for golfers, and when used on rainy days. The gray, smoke or green lenses are the most popular because not only do they cut the bright light but they also help keep the colors appearing the most natural and true.

Polarized Lenses can also be used indoors by those persons with light-sensitive eyes or those exposed to bright light through windows or while on the computer.

Drivewear® lenses:
For your second pair, a polarized photochromic lens that darkens outside as well as behind the windshield of a car would be ideal! These lenses react to different weather and light conditions from overcast to bright light enhancing the eye’s natural functions to provide optimum vision! Trivex Lenses

Virtually indestructable, Trivex is the lens of choice for the increasingly popular rimless frames being worn today.

High Definition Lenses

When an eye exam is given, the equipment used does not accurately represent the frame a customer ultimately chooses. Because of this, the prescription will not be the most optimal prescription for the customer wearing their new frames – Until now!

Our advanced software will automatically use measurements based on your frame selection to further refine your prescription, customizing it to you, and you only! This creates wider fields of vision then ever before.
